Diesel Fuel Polishing is the technology of restoring dirty, unusable fuel to a usable condition.

How does it work?
Fuel polishing is the same as dialysis in humans. The fuel is taken out of the system, then forced through multiple filters before being returned to the tank free of pollutants.

How does this affect me?
Dirty fuel is the number one reason diesel engines fail to start. This does not mean you purchased dirty fuel. Over time diesel fuel quality is diminished.

Polished Fuel
Cleaner Air mandates have resulted in less sulfur content in diesel fuel. This is great for air quality but a negative for diesel fuel stability.

Now more than ever, a regular fuel maintenance program is important. Red Star will check your fuel annually for water and test for bacteria and fungus at no charge to our regular fuel customers. If there is a problem, we can correct it.
